Consumer Price Index for Industrial Workers

The Labour Bureau, which is part of the Ministry of Labour and Employment, Government of India, compiles and publishes the Consumer Price Index Number for Industrial Workers (also known as CPI-IW). This index measures price inflation for industrial workers' consumption. The Reserve Bank of India publishes wholesale price indices, the Department of Economic Affairs handles economic policy, and the Department of Personnel and Training deals with HR matters.
