Rashtriya Garima Abhiyaan

Rashtriya Garima Abhiyaan is a national campaign launched by the Government of India to eradicate the practice of manual scavenging and rehabilitate those engaged in it. The campaign focuses on ensuring dignity and safety for manual scavengers through elimination of the practice and providing alternative livelihood opportunities. It was initiated by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment to implement the Prohibition of Employment as Manual Scavengers and their Rehabilitation Act.
